Hastings High School is seeking a highly qualified candidate to serve as Head Wrestling Coach.  Candidates are desired to have successful high school and/or collegiate level coaching experience, and/or related successful experiences in educational leadership. Candidates should have strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and the commitment to develop and maintain positive relationships between the Raiders wrestling program and the local community.  

REPORTS TO: 

Hastings High School Athletic Director and Principal, who provide overall job objectives and observe performance.

SUPERVISES:  

The Head Wrestling Coach will advise, coordinate, and support the staff and athlete personnel for the varsity, junior-varsity, and 9th grade teams, according to expectations of the Athletic Director and Principal.

JOB GOALS: 

To instruct student-athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical training necessary for them to realize individual and team success.  Concurrently, student-athletes shall receive values-based instruction that will develop pride in participation, social behavior, self-discipline and confidence.  The successful coach shall demonstrate substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport, as well as effectively establish positive relationships with all stakeholders.
