Hastings High School is seeking a highly qualified candidate to serve as Assistant Girls Basketball Coach - Junior Varsity.  Candidates are desired to have successful high school and/or collegiate level coaching experience, and/or related successful experiences in educational leadership. Candidates should have strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and the commitment to develop and maintain positive relationships between the Raiders girls' basketball program and the local community.  

REPORTS TO: 

Hastings High School Athletic Director and Head Girls' Basketball Coach, who provide overall job objectives and observe performance.

SUPERVISES:  

The Assistant Girls' Basketball Coach - Junior Varsity will advise, coordinate, and support the player personnel for the junior-varsity team, while concurrently serving as a varsity assistant coach, according to expectations of the Athletic Director and the Head Coach.

JOB GOALS: 

To instruct student-athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical training necessary for them to realize individual and team success.  Concurrently, student-athletes shall receive values-based instruction that will develop pride in participation, social behavior, self-discipline and confidence.  The successful coach shall demonstrate substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport, as well as effectively establish positive relationships with all stakeholders.
