Hastings High School is seeking a highly qualified candidate to serve as Assistant Alpine Ski Coach.  Candidates are desired to have successful high school and/or collegiate level coaching and/or skiing experience, and/or related successful experiences in educational leadership. Candidates should have strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and the commitment to develop and maintain positive relationships between the Raiders Alpine Ski program and the local community.  

REPORTS TO: 

Hastings High School Athletic Director and Head Alpine Ski Coach, who provide overall job objectives and observe performance.

SUPERVISES:  

The Assistant Coach will advise, coordinate, and support the staff and personnel for the alpine ski program, according to expectations of the Athletic Director and the Head Alpine Ski Coach.

JOB GOALS: 

To instruct student-athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical training necessary for them to realize individual and team success.  Concurrently, student-athletes shall receive values-based instruction that will develop pride in accomplishment, social behavior, self-discipline and confidence.  The successful coach shall demonstrate substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport, as well as effectively establish positive relationships with all stakeholders.
