Extended Term Substitute - Middle School Counselor, Grades 5 - 8

Start Date:  On or about September 26th thur November 26th

General Duties: Support all students in the areas of academics, personal/social, and career readiness.  Serve as an important member of the school-wide support/leadership team. 

Required Qualification: Minnesota Licensure to be a School Counselor

Preferred Qualifications:

• The ability to create an environment of trust and respect
• Previous experience working with middle school students
• A strong commitment to providing student support through proactive classroom, small group, and individual programing
• Understanding of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)
• Strong evidence of previous effective collaboration as a member of a team of professionals
• Evidence of experience of building strong positive relationships with students, colleagues, parents and the broader community
