Description
POSITION: Substitute Building Nurse – elementary, middle, and high school sites

RESPONSIBLE to: Building Principal and School District Licensed School Nurse

RESPONSIBILITIES: assess and provide first aid care for students, administer treatments/medications, and document cares provided in accordance with established procedures.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• current licensure as an RN or an LPN in Minnesota
• Current first aid and CPR certification
• Computer proficiency

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• prior experience working with young children
• experience with electronic medical records, MS Word, Google docs, Outlook, etc.
• good communication skills
• one or more year experience in hospital nursing and or clinic settings
• prior experience managing health concerns (especially asthma, diabetes, life-threatening allergies, and seizures)
• good time management and organizational skills
